FAQ

  • I've never planned an event before, can you help me?

Yes! We’ve all been there. Whether this is your first wedding or first event that you’re organizing , you’re not expected to know what to do. That’s what we are here for. We will help guide you every step of the way to make sure you and your guests have the best night possible! We have over 10 years experience in events.

  • I don't know much about music. Does that matter?

We’ve got you! No matter what your musical tastes are or even if you don’t have any, we will put together the right songs for your event. That’s why you hire us!

  • Do you select the music?

We like to make this process a collaborative approach. We work with you, gather your tastes and preferences, give you some suggestions and work form there. If you want to be more hands off, we can do that too. It’s really up to you. We can play a list exactly to your wishes, or we can custom choose each song for your event. Flexibility is our speciality!

  • Do you MC?

We are strong believers in the night being about YOU, so we keep our MCing to a minimum. We do announcements, introductions and anything else important to keeping the night running smoothly. but you won’t have to worry about us stealing the limelight. We believe less is more.

  • How soon do I need to book a DJ?

ASAP! Most couples book all their vendors 12mths in advance of their wedding. We have already taken many bookings for 2024 and most of our peak Saturdays in 2023 are booked up. We stress to all the couples we speak to, book all your important vendors (photographer, venue, florist and DJ) as soon as you possibly can. This also means you’ll get your first pick rather than having to settle.

  • How do I choose a DJ?

Great question! With DJ’s you tend to get what you pay for….that’s being completely honest. If you hire a $500 DJ, you’ll get someone showing up with dodgy equipment and they’ll play everything straight off Spotify. They likely won’t have any backup plans and won’t be experienced in events and weddings.
Pay $5000 and you’ll get someone who is all ‘flash’ - bells and whistles and won’t get off the microphone (we all know ‘those’ djs.

    These are our #1 tips:

    1. Hire someone you get along with. You don’t need to be best friends with them, but you need to get a positive attitude and vibe from them.

    2. Make sure they appear organized.. Ask them how they go about the planning of the event. If they don’t have a clear, detailed system in place, RUN! Do they have a back up plan if their computer dies or speaker conks out?

    3. Be clear about what kind of DJ you want. Some DJs are flashy, some are corny, and some are just awesome, fun, professional and down-to-earth. (We like to think we’re the latter).

    4. If you like the DJ company you speak to, BOOK THEM. Don’t shop around for months. DJs get booked up quickly and you’ll end up missing out on the one you wanted.

    5. Read their reviews! You can get a good gauge of a company by reading their reviews as well as checking out their social media.
